The Disclosure Scotland will only cover applicants who live or work within Scotland. A Disclosure Scotland basic level is available online, currently other Disclosure Scotland levels of application are only available in paper form.

1 Register your organisation with Active background checks, then you will be able to create your own logins (Admin and remote logins for your applicants)
2 The Disclosure Scotland basic application will need to be completed by your organisation with the applicant present or the applicant can complete the form themselves with their remote logins. A paper application form would be required to completed by your organisation and the applicant.
3 Submit or post the application to active background checks and is quality checked.
4 Disclosure Scotland completes their in-house process and notifies us upon completion.
5 The paper certificate will be posted to the applicant’s home address.

I am already on the PVG scheme, can I change my details?
Personal details can be amended by contacting Disclosure Scotland directly. We offer the Disclosure Scotland PVG update scheme for new employer of people who are registered to the PVG scheme.
